About Mini PC Catalog
A community-driven database for finding, comparing, and contributing compact computer configurations β all in one place.
Why we built this
Finding the right Mini PC means comparing dozens of specs across hundreds of models. Manufacturer websites make side-by-side comparisons nearly impossible. We wanted a single source of truth with powerful filtering for compact computers.
How the data works
- β Data is sourced from manufacturer specs and community contributions
- β CPU benchmark scores from PassMark for real performance comparison
- β Every edit is tracked with full revision history
- β Prices include referral links β we may earn a small commission at no cost to you
The Score
A transparent, uncapped score for how good a pick a mini PC is: powerful, affordable, compact, and well-equipped. It is computed from objective specs only β no brand or seller opinion β and a modelβs score changes only when its own price or specs change.
Under the hood: the exact formula
The Score is just the sum of five per-factor points β each a plain function of that one config's own specs. No factor is capped except by its own curve, so a great machine can outscore the rest by a wide margin.
CPU PassMark Γ· 500e.g. 12,000 PassMark β 24 pts Β· 24,000 β 48 (linear, no cap)
40 Γ 300 Γ· (300 + price$)$0 β 40 Β· $300 β 20 Β· $600 β ~13 Β· $1,200 β 8
25 Γ 1 Γ· (1 + litres)0.4 L β ~18 Β· 1 L β 12.5 Β· 2 L β ~8 Β· 4.5 L β ~4.5
12 Γ GB Γ· (GB + 16)16 GB β 6 Β· 32 GB β 8 Β· 64 GB β ~9.6 Β· barebone (0) β 0
12 Γ GB Γ· (GB + 512)512 GB β 6 Β· 1 TB β 8 Β· 2 TB β ~9.6 Β· barebone (0) β 0
Two kinds of zero. RAM or storage at 0 is a real spec (a barebone) β it earns 0 points for that factor, so an equipped machine ranks above a bare one. A missing CPU, price, or size is unknown(a data gap) β it's filled with the catalog median, so a gap in our data never scores as βbadβ.
Worked example. A $599, 0.6 L mini PC with a 24,000-PassMark CPU, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD scores about 48 + 13 + 16 + 8 + 8 β 93.
Energy efficiency (performance per watt) joins the formula once we have power data for enough models. The catalog sorts by Score by default β click any column to re-sort.
Contributing
Know a Mini PC that's not in the catalog? Found an error? Add it yourself β or browse the models that need a finishing touch. Every contribution is tracked with full history.
Reputation
Contributing earns reputation β a public score shown next to your name. It rewards building and improving the catalog, plus how the community rates your comments:
- +15Add a new Mini PC model
- +10Add a new configuration
- +3Improve a configuration (first edit)
- +1Each net upvote your comments receive
Archived contributions stop counting, and your score never drops below zero.
